Private residence club launched in North Carolina

A new private residence club has been launched near Blowing Rock, North Carolina, with prices for a 1/6th fractional share of a three-bedroom villa starting at $229,000 for “Founder's Club” membership.

The Parkway Club at Turtle Creek properties are 3,000 square foot three-bedroom, three-bathroom villas in an area described as “a true American treasure renown for endless hiking trails, trout streams, spectacular vistas and legendary views right out your back door”.

Turtle Creek is the vision of local developer, adventurer and philanthropist Dr. Richard Furman, assisted by Bill Shea from Residence Club Partners, the resort's design and management company . “When I first visited the Villas and the open space came into view, I knew this place was special. We’ve worked projects around the U.S. and the Caribbean and rarely do we work with such high quality construction and craftsmanship,” said Shea.

Services and amenities will include a club house with a full gym, on-site owner concierge services, housekeeping, access to private chefs and catering for family gatherings, and a special membership to the luxury spa at the nearby Westglow Resort. The Boone Golf Club is three miles away.

Four large ponds have been preserved to be enjoyed by all residents. Two of the ponds are stocked with trout for the private enjoyment of the owners. Turtle Creek has partnered with the only Orvis fly-fishing shop in the area and offers special services and tours including custom fly-fishing classes at the ponds.
